The General Body

All members of the Society shall constitute the General Body.

The Society shall hold the meeting of the General Body once in a calendar year. The Chairman shall notify the venue, time and date of the meeting of the General Body to every entitled Member at least 10 days before the date of the meeting.
The Managing Committee shall be authorized to call an extra-ordinary meeting of the General Body at any time if it is requisitioned by at least 10 Life Members. The extra-ordinary meeting shall be notified by the Chairman of the Society within the period of two weeks after receiving the requisition.
The General Body shall examine and approve the Audited Accounts and the Annual Report.
The General Body shall elect members of the Managing Committee from amongst the members of the Society whenever due.
The General Body shall approve the auditors to audit the accounts of the Society for each financial year.
The General Body shall consider any other issue connected with the activities of the Society with the permission of the Chair.
At every General Body or Extra-Ordinary Meeting of the General Body there should be a quorum. The quorum for General Body/Extra-Ordinary Meeting shall be 1/4th of its total members.
Every General Body or extra-ordinary meeting shall be presided over by the Chairman. In the absence of the Chairman a Senior Office-Bearer or by any member elected by the quorum present at any given time.
In case of an equality of votes, the Chairman of the meeting shall be entitled to a second or casting vote.
