Cancer Society of Kashmir was established in March, 1999. The overwhelming response of the people who thronged free consultation cancer clinic voluntarily offered by a group of doctors with missionary devotion and dedication gave inspiration for establishment of the Society. It is in this scenario that the establishment of a broad based Society was felt which besides doctors include people from all walks of life ranging from Bureaucrats, Academicians, Advocates, Journalists, Writers, Print and Electronic Media persons to Businessmen.
