Who We Are
Cancer Society of Kashmir was established in March, 1999. The Logo/Emblem of Cancer Society of Kashmir has background of Chinar leaf, as it is native to Kashmir, bearing green colour signifying life. Over the leaf is designed a Scorpion coloured in black with sword in red colour stabbed amidst it.
Main Objectives of the Society
To create awareness about Cancer, its causes, prevention and to promote its early detection.
To conduct research on incidence, prevalence, distribution, causes symptoms, pathology and treatment to promote its cure.
To provide need based adequate diagnostic and most modern therapeutic facilities to General Public on No Profit No Loss and free to cancer patients.
To collect the latest data or scientific information regarding research or treatment of Cancer, nationally or internationally.
To print, publish and circulate brochures, pamphlets etc. For medical or scientific investigations, research, diagnosis and treatment of all forms of cancer.
To depute persons or send delegations to scientific or medical conference, in connection with the cancer problem in and outside the state.
To provide financial assistance to the deserving potentially curable cancer patients for their treatment.
Any other activity relating to Cancer awareness, prevention, early detection and its treatment not otherwise mentioned.
